What is Botox?

Botox, also known as Botulinum, is a protein used in cosmetic and medical procedures related to muscle activity. Botox is a highly effective, FDA-approved procedure that reverses the visible effects of facial aging.

These quick injections at the site of wrinkles allow the facial muscles to relax, causing the facial wrinkles to become more shallow and less prominent facial creases.

Our approach

Based on the teachings of Dr. Casad

Our science based approach to healthcare is derived from the practices of our founder, Dr. Connie Casad.

Unique treatment plans, designed for each patient’s needs

We don’t believe “one-size-fits-all”. We use a whole-person approach to wellness.

We address underlying conditions, not just symptoms

Hormone imbalances can affect anyone at any age. We listen to everything you have to say to gain a full understanding of your lifestyle before we diagnose and treat.

A multifaceted approach to age-management

Diet, exercise, mental health & stress management work alongside hormone therapy to establish a comprehensive approach to your health and well-being.

Benefits of Botox

As we age, our skin loses its elasticity, causing creases to deepen into lines permanently etched on our faces.

Non-surgical solution

Injections can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles without requiring surgery.

Medical conditions

Botox has been found to be beneficial for treating migraines, hyperhidrosis, and muscle spasms.

Safe and convenient

Botox is the first treatment that has been approved by the FDA and requires no downtime.

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Casad and her support staff. She approaches from such a complete, holistic perspective using both natural methods, supplements and prescribed medicine. She has addressed cardiovascular, GI, endocrine, neurologic and psychiatric issues with equal - if not superior care and expertise than specialists in these fields, in my opinion. 10/10.
My experience with Dr. Casad’s practice has been pleasant from the beginning of setting it up until the procedure I went to have it done. I felt very comfortable talking to Chandra when I was telling her what I was hoping to have. She went into detail telling me the ins and outs of the procedure and what I need to expect. She didn’t sugar coat anything but even explained that the worst parts of it but nothing has still not been unbearable. I had the procedure and couldn’t be more pleased with the staff that helped prepare me. Dr. Casad was amazing as well. She answered additional questions that I had come up. She was able to provide me the info I needed and put any concerns I had behind me. We were able to talk about many things as she worked on me. I appreciated info that she gave me with some that didn’t even relate to what I was having done. She is a wealth of knowledge. The procedure itself was not bad at all. I am home and have experienced all the things I was told to look out for and feel very prepared. Everything has been good so far. I have had several surgeries and procedures over the last 7 yrs but this is my best experience of all of them. . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I go in for photo facial. The office staff is always attentive and sensitive to my needs. Annie always does a great job with my treatment which is why I continue to return. When asked she usually has additional treatment suggestions to improve my appearance. I never feel like I'm being up-sold or being persuaded to try something that is not appropriate or that she cannot recommend with confidence. Annie successfully got my kids through what could have been some pretty grim acne years without her help. Dr, Casad is a warm and competent practitioner.
Melissa Lang, Nurse Practitioner is who I see on a regular basis. She is just phenomenal, always very caring and helpful when I have questions. She went out of her way to follow up with me after a procedure and goes above and beyond to ensure my comfort. I am always blown away by their ease with patients and continual customer care. Thank you, thank you!

What you should know

The effects of botox last between 3-6 months for most patients. Over time, with regular treatments, the effects of Botox may start to last longer for some people.

Possible side effects of Botox include temporary bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site.

Common areas of treatment include frown lines between the eyebrows, “crow’s feet” around the eyes, lip lines, soften dimplings of the chin, and deep forehead “furrows.”

Many patients pair botox with collagen injections, chemical peels, microdermabrasion skin resurfacing, and FotoFacials.

While the experience of each patient may differ, it usually takes 3-5 days to see the effects of Botox. For some, it may take up to 2 weeks to realize the final effects.

FAQs

Botox Frequently Asked Questions

Administering botox takes around 10 to 15 minutes.

It works by blocking the nerve signals needed for facial muscles to contract. It’s the repetitious contraction of facial muscles that causes expression lines and wrinkles.

Patients can choose to maintain their results for longer periods by undergoing periodic maintenance treatments every 3-4 months.

A week before the treatment most physicians will advise patients to stop consuming alcohol or taking any medications or supplements that thin the blood like aspirin, ibuprofen, Gingko Biloba, or Ginseng. This will help minimize bruising after the procedure.

Botulinum, or OnabotulinumtoxinA, is a natural, purified protein and it is safe for various medical uses as the toxin isn’t digested in your stomach and the doses are extremely small.
